Yes, Heartland MFT offers both in-person and telehealth sessions to provide you with flexibility, except for children in individual therapy under 14 and families in family therapy, who would be in-person only.
In-person sessions are located at 25 S Ferrall Street in Spokane, Washington, inside the Life Directions Counseling building.

In our first session, my main goal is simply to get to know you and hear your story. We’ll talk about what brought you here, what’s been going on, a little bit of your history, and what your goals are. It’s all about us getting on the same page so we can work together to map out the best path forward for you.

My approach to therapy is flexible and designed to fit you. I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all solution, so my work is tailored to each client, couple, or family's unique needs. To provide the best support, I draw from the strengths of several established therapeutic models.
Our work together will include insights and techniques from:
Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies (CBT, ACT, & DBT), to equip you with practical skills for challenging unhelpful thought patterns, mindfully accepting difficult emotions, and effectively managing emotional intensity and interpersonal relationships.
Narrative Therapy, to help you re-author your life story in a more empowering way.
Bowenian Family Systems, to explore multigenerational patterns and family dynamics.
Jungian Psychology, which allows us to address deeper, unconscious elements and archetypes.
Gestalt Therapy focuses on present-moment awareness and resolving lingering issues from the past.
Solutions-focused therapy, to direct our attention toward your desired future and build on the strengths you already have.
A Psychoanalytic Approach, which helps us understand how unconscious thoughts and past experiences shape your present. Sometimes, this may involve dream analysis to explore what your unconscious mind might be telling you.
For couples, I utilize the Gottman method and techniques from Emotionally-Focused Therapy (EFT)
Attachment-Based Therapy, to explore how your earliest bonds have shaped your current relationship patterns, helping you to heal relational wounds and build more secure and meaningful connections.
Lifespan Integration, to heal past trauma by gently guiding your mind and body through a timeline of your memories, allowing you to integrate difficult experiences and live more fully and freely in the present.
By blending these approaches, I gain a holistic view that helps me explore the influence of your past, navigate the realities of your present, and build the future you aspire to.

Nope! Each appointment request comes to me regardless of where you book; there’s no wrong way to reach out! That being said, I work with many great therapists working at the Life Directions Counseling locations who might also be a good fit depending on your needs: view the directory here.
